Introducing local artist Punky Aloha in Nalu Health Bar, Waikiki Beach Walk

If you’ve visited Nalu Health Bar in Waikiki, you’ve seen the colorful works of art by local artist Shar Tuiasoa- the creative illustrator behind Punky Aloha Studio.

After pursuing a BFA in illustration in California, Tuiasoa moved back to Oahu and began Punky Aloha Studio in the summer of 2018. In the short time since her studio opened, her reputation has soared, leading to commissioned work with local magazines, local businesses, and even national and international corporations.

When we were designing the new Waikiki space, located in Waikiki Beach Walk, we knew that the large amount of blank white walls were the perfect canvas to cover in art. We knew that we wanted to highlight a local artist that would not only provide amazing decoration for our walls, but that would also be admired and enjoyed by the tourists who frequent that location.

We feel so lucky that she wanted to display her work on consignment in our newest location and we love the pieces she selected!
