Introducing Nalu's Gluten Free and Vegan Baked Goods by Ulu and Kalo Bakery

If you’re gluten free or vegan, into baked goods, and live on Oahu, chances are you’ve heard of Ulu and Kalo Bakery. However, dietary restrictions or preferences should in no way influence your desire to try these delicious baked goods that are now offered at our South Shore Market location.

Maile, owner of Ulu and Kalo, chose to use native Hawaiian ingredients in her baked goods- which were gluten-free, coincidentally. She also chose to make her baked goods vegan to pursue a more healthy and environmentally conscious product. Maile hand makes all of her baked goods in Chinatown, and we are happy to carry her kalo brownies, almond, orange muffins, double chocolate muffins, vanilla chocolate chip muffins, banana & ulu bread, ultimate chocolate chip cookies, almond snickerdoodles, and lemon poppyseed muffins.
